Overview
The Add Widget menu has speedometer and linear gauge options for Scorecards, Initiatives, and Datasets, allowing you to quickly add gauges that are wired up to your data.
But, like all dashboard widgets, you can choose whatever datasource you want once a widget has been added.
Configuring display options
Speedometers and Linear Gauges have a variety of information they can display, depending on the data source. In this example we're showing a KPI so we have options like Thresholds and Charted Value.
When you're showing scorecard data on a Speedometer or Linear Gauge, the color ranges represent the scoring thresholds. For Datasets and Initiatives, however, it's not as obvious what coloring ranges you'll want. Because of this, you can define conditional coloring ranges in the "Set Thresholds" menu.
Horizontal and vertical linear gauges
Linear gauges automatically adjust as you resize them. They even switch between horizontal and vertical layouts based on whether you make them tall or wide.
